Hi Friends!

Have you ever done a workout that gives back? They are so much fun! Get fit while you make a positive impact – it doesn’t get any sweeter than that.

This past weekend I joined EQUINOX and some of my #fitfam to teach for and participate in Cycle For Survival in San Francisco. It was my 7th year teaching for this incredible cause that raises money for rare cancers through a fun indoor cycling class. Did you know that About 50 percent of people with cancer have a rare cancer?? Rare cancers include brain, pancreatic, ovarian, stomach, all types of pediatric cancers, and many others. Even though they account for about half of all cancer diagnoses when combined, research on many rare cancers is drastically underfunded, often leaving patients with limited or no treatment options.

But the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center—the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center—is committed to changing that reality. And thanks to events like Cycle For Survival, have been able to make a POWERFUL impact in the fight against rare cancers. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of participants, donors, and supporters, Cycle for Survival has raised $126 million for rare cancer research, and funded 100+ clinical trials and research studies.

Teaching at Cycle for Survival means more to me every year. I am honored to have been able to teach for this very special cause and inspired by EVERYONE who continues to cycle, sweat, support, and give back. We will keep cycling till we find a cure. You can join the battle with us here: Http://www.cycleforsurvival.org/

I wanted to share my teaching playlist from my hour of the ride. I mixed it up this year and put together a flavorful combination of 90’s throwbacks and feel good songs that make you smile while you sweat. The theme for my ride was: “Ride for the joy of moving. Ride for the joy of living. Ride for the joy of loving.”

And we did just that on February 11th in SF. We rode with heart and so much LOVE. Thank you for having me San Francisco!! You were awesome out there! I hope this playlist lifts you up and reminds you to move for the joy of it in your life.

Year of the BOOTY. The Best Songs About Buns, Hun.

As some of you know, Ive been having quite a BOOTYlicious year.

My purpose is to help people live FEEL good lives they love, inside and out. This year, I’ve been working to host monthly fitness events to create a new kind of “night on the town” experience to help active, social people connect with each other and achieve personal fitness goals together.

These events are inspired by doing the things I love — connecting with friends and sharing a night out. My goal is to create unique programs that can fit into participants busy lives so that they can be challenged, rewarded, educated, entertained, pampered, and most importantly, connected, to experience what they enjoy most — fitness and friends.

The most popular events I’ve hosted have been my “BOOTYcamp” series, a butt centric workout class and healthy hour in a nightclub. A big highlight from these special BOOTYcamp fitness events is the music. Because as you probably already know, I love a good beat that makes you want to drop it down low and shake it 😉

Ive been getting ready to host a Birthday BOOTYcamp to celebrate my 31st birthday and have been bumpin the squat motivation music to prep. It gets me energized and excited for a great night out.  I’d love to invite you to join me for a birthday BOOTY party!

RSVP and register to celebrate with me here:  https://www.movewith.com/classes/62828

Until we meet September 29th, here are a few of my favorite songs about the butt so you can get ready to shake it fast, watch yoself, and show me what you’re workin wit at BOOTYcamp.

Dont forget to RSVP! Join me to “drop it like a squat” at my Birthday BOOTYcamp this September 29th, 2016 at City Nights Club. Space is limited. Grab a friend, register now, and lets squat the night away together.

Whats your favorite song to squat to? Let me know what music you love to listen to when you drop it low by leaving me a comment below.

I hope to celebrate my 31st Birthday BOOTY with you! Till then, keep your squats low and your standards high my friends.

Some BOOTY loves you,

Shaq Attack Workout Playlist

Still coming down from the endorphin rush of having Shaquille O’Neal in spin class.

One of the first thoughts I had when he walked in the door was, ‘what music do you even play when Shaq comes to workout with you?’ He has four studio albums, 2 compilation albums, 2 soundtracks, one unreleased album, and 9 singles.  He even has a song with the Notorious BIG. I mean the man is talented beyond belief.

If you’ve ever taken my fitness classes you know: I go for music that moves you. I’m all about strong beats, high energy, and motivating tracks.

Caught on stage, one minute before class started, I had to make a play. My latest spotify mix was on point and in the last minute I added in a few of my favorite songs I thought perfect fit for a Shaq class. When he did head bumps and fist pumps throughout the ride I knew I had scored. Here’s the mix we were working to when Shaq ended up in spin class:

What songs would you play if Shaq walked in to workout with you one day? Leave me your playlist picks as a comment below.

Anything is possible. Keep dreaming big and going for your goals my friends.

Spring Break Workout Music Mix 2016

When spring arrives, we naturally enter into this beautiful, colorful time, where layers are shed as we make room for new growth, both within us and around us. There always seems to be a palpable excitement in the air. A wave of freshness takes over… and we all feel it together.

I absolutely love the springtime and the positive possibilities that lie blossoming into a new season. I love to do all I can to embrace it; to feel its presence as deeply as I can.

In the spring, we naturally feel more energized than we have over the last few months. Our minds feel clearer, our eyes brighter, and our hearts bigger. Use this wave of energy to get yourself OUT there. Do something you’ve always wanted to do, challenge yourself to start, or to try something new. Even if you don’t feel totally ready, just go for it. There’s no better time than now – and you certainly won’t regret it. For me, I’m publishing my first book… (yes scary awesomeness!).

Spring is also a time to clean up your life a bit. A perfect opportunity to get rid of old habits, thoughts, or routines that no longer serve you and create space for those that will. Is there something heavy you’d like to leave behind? Are you ready to let it go and open up space for a spring season of something new?

Let’s welcome in this season with strength, energy and enthusiasm! YOU are your secret to success. You can choose to blossom and to grow your life into whatever you want. Whether you are doing some spring cleaning, crushing your career goals, or kicking butt in the gym, this a fresh new spring break workout music mix will help you accomplish your goals with a smile.

January 1, 2016. Day One of a Bright New Year!

Hello Friends!

How is your year going so far? I have a feeling 2016 is going to be a good one for you! My year has gotten off to a strong and blessed start. I spent New Years in Hawaii to celebrate two of my friend’s getting married. It was a beautiful trip and Im so grateful I got to be there to celebrate their happy future together. While I was there I ran beside the Maui bay (heaven), swam laps with a giant sea-turtle (magical), ate my weight in pineapple (just.cant.get.enough), and danced under the stars to “watch me whip” (lets hope no one got that on camera ;). Hawaii is by far one of my favorite places in the world to play, relax, and enjoy incredible natural beauty. What a way to begin 2016!

After Hawaii, I returned home to San Francisco to head right back out to lead a New Years Wellness Weekend Retreat at Solage Calistoga. It was a blissful experience full of uplifting workouts, inspiring workshops, relaxing mineral baths, and goal setting for a bright year ahead. I’ll fill you in on all the details in another post… but for now lets just say this: Solage is a little slice of heaven on earth and I am very grateful to have worked with them in starting 2016 right.

All checked into Solage Calistoga and ready to lead a weekend of wellness workshops.

All checked into Solage Calistoga and ready to lead a weekend of wellness workshops.

From Solage it was back to the Bay to lead a day of Caroline Jordan Fitness corporate wellness workshops for DDB San Francisco. DDB is an advertising agency in San Francisco known for being “21st century achitects of big brand stories”. They work hard, love what they do, and are incredibly talented professionals.

I was honored to be there and support DDB in their health and wellbeing. Our 2 hour wellness workshop together was a full session that covered a lot of subjects related to wellness and helped further a healthy work culture at DDB San Francisco. It was informative, inspiring, uplifting, and fun. The smiles in the room give me such joy. I feel it is my purpose to inspire and support self-care and a healthier, happier world. It is my hope is that through these workshops and events participants can get real resources they can use to positively impact their wellness and lives. I believe in my work. And I believe that each workshop and corporate wellness effort can empower positive lifestyle changes in individuals, companies, and the world as a result.

Over 850 riders and supporters came out to Equinox Pine Street on February 21, 2015 to fight rare cancers with Cycle for Survival! It was my fifth year teaching for the event.  WOW. What a ride it has been. So incredible to see how much this cause has grown over the years and the POWERFUL impact it has had in the fight against rare cancers. With over $51 million raised since 2007, Cycle For Survival makes a tangible and significant impact – 100% of all funds raised go directly to pioneering research at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I am honored to be a part and inspired by EVERYONE who continues to cycle, sweat, support, and give back. I wanted to share my teaching playlist from my portion of the ride. I mixed it up this year and used a Soundcloud mix by DJ “Agent Smith”. It’s a flavorful combination of current pop hits and throwbacks, feel good songs that make you smile and inspire you to push harder towards your goals. We will keep cycling till we find a cure. What touches my heart most is that all the fundraising, cycling, sweating, and fist pumping (oh yes) directly impacts the lives of those affected by rare cancers. When you think about that, really think about that: people showing up to support each other in a REAL, powerful, life changing way. Well it reminds you how beautiful humanity truly is and how love can make a difference.
