A brand new year is always exciting! We are filled with anticipation, we resolve to achieve our goals and make our dreams come true. Given that this is a fantastic time to reflect, visualize and plan, here are 100 tips to be the best possible version of you in 2016.

How to be your healthiest, happiest self in 2016

  1. Always remember: as long as you are breathing, you are capable of changing and growing.
  2. Accept responsibility for your own life.
  3. Put yourself first.
  4. Keep your mind open and never stop learning.
  5. Don’t look back, keep moving forward.
  6. Say YES
  7. Learn from other people’s experiences.
  8. Handle problems with calm, detachment, and heart.
  9. Own the mistakes in which you were directly involved.
  10. Reward yourself when a goal is accomplished.
  11. Never say ‘can’t’ or ‘won’t’.
  12. Learn, assimilate, apply.
  13. Eliminate people and things that distract you or deplete your energy.
  14. Read, read, and read some more.
  15. Stay motivated and go for it.
  16. Decide what you want — then do it.
  17. Hang, work, collaborate and network with the best people you can find.
  18. Find your own definition of balance — family, financial, professional, social, spiritual, recreational — and create it in your life.
  19. Keep your personal goals at the forefront of your mind.

  91. Replace the phrase “I have to” with “I get to” whenever you catch yourself starting to complain.  So many activities we complain about are things others wish they had the chance to do.
  92. Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, or makes you happy.
  93. Take constructive criticism seriously, but not personally.  Listen, and then operate with your own intuition and wisdom as your guide.
  94. Always remember: you are stronger than you think and braver than you believe.
  95. Smile, it is the best accessory.
  96. Take time to realign yourself with what you value most in life.  What is important in your life is what you decide is important.  
  97. Have patience and keep a good attitude while working hard for what you believe in.
  98. Be assertive, never aggressive.
  99. Don’t take things for granted.
